On this Independence Day, we celebrate the freedom that is unlike any other, the freedom that comes when we embrace and accept our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In our Gospel lesson today, we read of Jesus being rejected in his own hometown. But we are heartened that Jesus did not give up on them and He will never give up on us.
